According to Dr. Doris Cohen, babies dream the most and they’re mostly out of it because they’re in the dream realm much of the time.  In my hip-hop and poetry workshops I’ve used dreams as a writing prompt for several years, but it has been a while since I sat to contemplate the concept of dreams.  Maybe it’s because I’m revisiting my wants, goals and desires.  Freud believed that all of our dreams originate in our subconscious thoughts and mind.  I’ve been dreaming a lot this past month, but can’t seem to remember many of them.  I do like the fact that I’m sleeping deep enough to dream and know that I’m dreaming.  I remember at an ex- of mine who thought it so silly that I saw life with such ‘wonderment’, that I spoke so idealistically about my dreams.  Spring is coming and I’ll be starting a Spring cleanse and I’ll start writing down the dreams I can remember.  Dr. Cohen, a dream specialist, was recently featured on Christiane Northrup’s Hayhouseradio.com show, “Flourish”, and I am so inspired to look at my dreams. 2011 has been such a phenomenal year for growth and new levels of self-understanding that I can only imagine what my dreams will help me see…

Let us be aware of our power to create a dream of heaven where everything is possible. Help us to use our imagination to guide the dream of our life, the magic of our creation, so we can live without fear, without anger, without jealousy, without envy.  Don Miguel Ruiz

Hello Ms. Blackman! It is I, Christopher Moore, the student of Dr. Bailey’s whom you met and spoke with April 6th and 7th. Thank you for such a wonderful couple of days. I read this and had to reply because I too have been having vivid dreams lately. This has been a very active year so far for my mind trying to make sense of the world that I live in through its deep dreamwork state. For what I can remember of one or two of them my subconsciousness is just as confused about life as my consciousness!
