Project Girl Congo

This Friday and Saturday at 6pm Project Girl Congo takes to the stage for a work-in-progress presentation.  It’s being featured at the Estrogenius Festival at Manhattan Theater Source in the village.  I’ve served as Artist-in-Residence for Project Girl and a Creative Director for the piece.  The process of working with young women and girls (12 yrs old to 21 yrs old) has been a profound experience.  This presentation is the beginning of what will hopefully evolve into a tool for awareness raising across the U.S.  The women of the DRC need you and me to stand beside them, to fight with them, to create more platforms for their stories to be heard.  Project Girl: Congo
